4 Gallon Case of Sodium Benzoate - It is FDA approved. Use it in combination with Citric Acid to preserve Snow Cone Syrup up to 6 months. The shelf-life of snow cone syrup without preservative is 1 to 2 weeks. Sodium Benzoate is effective only when used in combination with Citric Acid. Use 1 part Citric Acid to 4 parts Sodium Benzoate to preserve snow cone and shaved ice syrup.

**How To Use Preservative To Extend The Shelf Life of Snow Cone Syrup Up To 6 Months**
Syrup	Citric Acid	Sodium Benzoate
To preserve 2 gallons of syrup	Stir in ¼ ounce of citric acid	Stir in 1 ounce of sodium benzoate
To preserve 5 gallons of syrup	Stir in 1¼ ounce of citric acid	Stir in 5 ounces of sodium benzoate
To preserve 10 gallons of syrup	Stir in 2½ ounces of citric acid	Stir in 10 ounces of sodium benzoate

Important! Stir in Citric Acid and Sodium Benzoate separately to avoid crystallization of the preservatives.
